How to do a COVID-19 PCR test in Luxembourg?
The PCR screening performed on a nasopharyngeal swab allows the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus responsible for COVID-19 to be diagnosed reliably.
A second test to detect variants on positive samples (British, South African and Brazilian) is available on request. The CNS does not currently cover the cost of this second test.

The serological test detects the presence of anti-SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) antibodies produced by the immune system in the blood. It is useful in certain situations:
- As an aid in the diagnosis of acute infection
- To detect an old infection and provide proof of contact with the virus
- To monitor the vaccination and to know the antibody level
Some countries also require a serology result when crossing their border.
It is therefore not covered by the CNS.
The cost of the analysis is 36€.
